Brief
Since it’s Australian launch in 1975, Yellow Pages has been an essential part of Australian homes through it’s local directories, website and app, bringing users intimate knowledge of every business, suburb and street in Australia for decades. As part of their transformation, Sensis engaged Interbrand to help define Yellow Pages as a consumer facing business that needed a new brand platform to help shape it’s digital future.
Solution
Focussing on what it does best - connecting everyday people with everyday businesses in their local areas - the new brand helps tell the simple story of YP as the ‘Search + Find Engine’.
Yellow Pages exists to help you stop searching and start finding. Whenever a question is asked, a circle pulses, searching your local area to find exactly what you’re looking for, before zooming in to help you find the one. This then forms the basis for their unified design system, with the flexibility to easily adapt to any medium and format. The new brand is a definite departure from the ‘walking fingers’ that they have used since their beginning and that feature around the world.
